White Sony Ericsson Xperia Play exclusive on O2 UK

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (or the PSP phone as it's known) will be available in white in the UK, exclusively on the O2 network.

We already knew the Xperia Play would be available on O2, as well as Three in UK, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone. Now, the official O2 Twitter account has tweeted to the world about having an exclusive on a white version.

The tweet says: "Great news: not only will we be selling Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, we'll have an exclusive white version!"

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is the first ever to also host the PlayStation suite. It also has a 1Ghz SnapDragon processor and will offer HD games at 60Fps. At launch, 50 titles will be available, including Guitar Hero, Assassins Creed, Dead Space and more. It also has a 4-inch LCD touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play was officially unveiled at MWC 2011 and is expected to release in March. We don't have any information yet on tariffs from network operators, but the phone is available SIM-free on online retailer Expansys for £539.99 and states that it's available to ship from 31 March.
