Microsoft spikes in the video player ranking

The various video sites from Microsoft to undergo a massive increase in the US, with the likes of Bing, and MSN push the software giant back to the fourth spot in the rankings.

Microsoft has spent years far behind Google's YouTube, but the likes of broadcasting giants Fox, Viacom and Vevo huge land in recent times.

'Frenemy ' Yahoo and Facebook for the Microsoft websites but the Redmond giant moved three places to fourth in terms of unique users, and promote the latest figures from ComScore put it second only to YouTube in the actual number of video streams.

Dominant

The figures also serve to emphasize how dominant Google YouTube is, with a view at a whopping 1.9 billion in the u.s. alone – nearly two fifths of all videos viewed.

Google sites also account for 174 million unique viewers – that is nearly three times the closest competitor Yahoo on something more than 54 million.

Facebook is scary third, with 52.2 million viewers, Microsoft fourth with 45 million and Fox makes the top five with 43 million.
